It's Almost Easter!

Where has the time gone? I wish I could say I actively participated in all of the Lenten activities this year but even remembering to fast on Fridays has been a challenge. With Alexa only being 2 1/2 months old, she has pretty much been the main focus (as I am sure she will continue to be for years to come). I have tried to make it a point to still read my daily devotionals but often get interrupted haha. Most of my time spent in prayer takes place while in bed or even the shower. We hope to attempt an outing to church together as a family very soon since Alexa now has her 2 month vaccinations under her belt. It looks like we will continue to stay busy as we will be traveling to spend some time with Alexa's birth family in a few weeks and are set to have her baptized in May! There are several birthdays and planned get togethers with family thrown in there as well. Sounds pretty hectic but I am looking forward to it all! Happy Easter!

Back to work!

Yes I know it has been awhile! We have had several transitions lately that make getting down time on the computer difficult. One being that I am officially back to work! Monday wasn't too bad since I was actually looking forward to getting out of the house but as the week progresses it gets harder and harder. You tell me it wouldn't be tough leaving the house with a face like this looking at you...

In other news, about a month ago I finished making the board book about Alexa's adoption story. We have read it a few times and hope to make it a daily read as she continues to grow and become more interested in books. I love how it turned out!

We completed our 4th post-placement visit with our social worker this evening which went well. Still looking forward to meeting with Alexa's birth family again soon!

Reminding myself everyday of this when I wake up in the morning too tired to go to work and disappointed that I don't get to spend everyday with my beautiful baby girl!

2 months old!

Weighing in at almost 11 pounds at 2 months old is this little beauty...LOVE HER!

She is becoming more aware of her surroundings, smiling a lot, and making new sounds everyday. She is sleeping well at night but daytime sleep continues to be erratic. This will eventually work itself out. Only 1 more week of leave from work for me :( Trying to soak up as much lovin' time as possible. We are really anticipating warmer weather as we have been mostly stuck in the house and are looking forward to a visit with Alexa's birth family as well!
